PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) was present in the inauguration of the completion of the National Strategic Project on Tanki Development LPG Pressurized Bima belonging to PT Pertamina (Persero) Friday, (21/2).

Barata is a partner of PT Pertamina through sub holding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in the construction of Tanki. The inauguration was attended directly by Director of Engineering & Land Infrastructure of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eduward Adolof Kawi & Director of Business Planning and Development of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Harsono Budi Santoso, while from Barata was attended by Director, Hertyoso Nursasongko.

Barata Indonesia as a contractor explained that, Tanki LPG with a capacity of 1 x 1000 MT is one form of company participation to support the Government’s National Strategy Poyek to facilitate the sustainability of LPG conversion in East Indonesia. “The completion of this project further strengthens Barata Indonesia’s position as a manufacturing company for the development of national energy infrastructure,” said Hertyoso. In addition, by operating the Terminal LPG, the community can benefit such as stability of LPG supply with reasonable gas prices.

The LPG tank is through various tests and commissioning and has met security standards, in accordance with national and international regulations. The cooperation between Barata Indonesia and Pertamina Patra Niaga in the Tanki LPG Bima project reflects strong synergies between SOEs to support the government’s strategic program in improving national energy resilience.
