The Components and Machinery Industry Division of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) stands as a key pillar in strengthening the foundation of the national manufacturing industry. This division strategically exists to meet component and machinery needs with the primary goal of reducing dependence on imports and increasing domestic content (TKDN) in various vital industrial sectors.

HYDROMECHANICAL
Since the company’s inception, the Water Resources Division has been a pillar of Barata Indonesia. The company’s continuously improving competency has earned it recognition in the hydromechanical business.
Furthermore, Barata Indonesia has produced numerous types of mechanical components, including the Hollow Cone Valve, which received an award from the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) as the largest HVC ever manufactured in Indonesia
FOUNDRY
As a national foundry and manufacturing company, PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) operates a large-capacity foundry.
The Barata Indonesia Foundry has a capacity of up to 15,000 tons/year, accommodating a wide variety of orders, both national and international.
This foundry’s capacity is also the largest in Southeast Asia.
It produces components for railroad cars and ships, cement components, and sugar mill components.
Barata Indonesia also possesses expertise in various material specifications, such as cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, and heat-resistant steel.
Featured products include bogies, couplers, axle boxes, liners, and truck frames, which are essential components for the railway industry.
For sugar mill components, Barata Indonesia produces mill stands, pinions, gear wheels, and other components.
The quality of Barata Indonesia’s products is also internationally recognized through its AAR (Association of American Railways) certification, which Barata Indonesia has held since 2011.
