PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) confirms its commitment to supporting the strengthening of the national railway industry through active participation in RailwayTech Indonesia 2025 which took place at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on July 29-31, 2025.

As a manufacturer of railway components that have penetrated the global market, Barata Indonesia routinely exported bogie and other rail components to the United States, Canada and a number of other countries with volumes of about 8 containers per week and annual export value of USD 8–9 million.

Through this event, Barata Indonesia also sees great opportunities to expand the role in the domestic market, as the need for national railway components and infrastructure increases.

With manufacturing capabilities that have met international standards, Barata is ready to become a strategic partner in Indonesia’s rail-based modernization and transportation development program. “Barata Indonesia has international certifications such as AAR and Lloyd’s Register, which is key to our penetrating export market,” said Barata Indonesia Director Hertyoso Nursasongko.

Barata also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IPERINDO to strengthen collaboration in the maritime sector, while demonstrating Barata’s capabilities in producing shaft bracket and rudder horn. Barata also continues to strengthen its long-term partnership with Wabtec USA, an American railway company, in marketing products to more than 10 countries on various continents.

Participation in RailwayTech 2025 is part of Barata Indonesia’s strategic move to focus on core business in railway and maritime manufacturing, and supporting national transport integration towards Indonesia Gold 2045 Visi Indonesia
