As a state-owned manufacturing company, PT Barata Indonesia has proven its presence as a key player in the production of heavy industrial components, including the production of “Dish Heads,” a component of pressure vessels used in various oil and gas industries and other energy industries, including pressure vessels.

In pressure vessels, the Dish Head is a concave-shaped component used to close the end of the pressure vessel. Its function is to withstand internal and external pressure and provide structural strength to the vessel.

The Dish Head serves several functions, including securely closing the end of the pressure vessel, evenly distributing pressure, and minimizing stress concentrations.

Barata’s machinery, particularly the Head Dishing Machine and Head Flanging Machine, are the primary machines used to produce Barata’s recurring products. Dish Heads are Barata Indonesia’s mainstay in stemming the tide of imported dish heads that have inundated the domestic pressure vessel manufacturing market.

As a state-owned manufacturing company, PT Barata Indonesia continues to innovate to support the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) and reduce dependence on imports in the energy and strategic industrial sectors.
