Industrial visits are one of the most important moments in a student’s educational journey, especially for those studying engineering or related fields.

Monday (January 13th), PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) received a company visit from Tidar University, Magelang, majoring in D4 Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology.

The aforementioned activity is a series of outdoor learning methods that connect the theory learned in the classroom with real-world application, by visiting factories or manufacturing facilities owned by Barata Indonesia.

The group was received by Corporate Secretary, Sari Sutjahjani, Senior Marketing Manager Santoso Joko Pamungkas, and Senior QSHE Manager, Ribut Setiawan.

During the visit, students were invited to learn more about the production process, quality management system, facilities used, work dynamics in the manufacturing industry, and the challenges faced by Barata Indonesia.

Barata Indonesia’s Corporate Secretary, Sari Sutjahjani, welcomed the visit. According to him, industrial progress depends not only on technology but also, and more importantly, on the quality of Human Resources.

Therefore, Barata Indonesia is committed to supporting the world of education not only by providing opportunities for students to conduct company visits to learn about the ins and outs of the company’s production process, but we also offer opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience thru the company’s internship program,” he explained. “We hope this program can produce professional generations ready to contribute directly to the world of work.”

After a joint discussion, the students were also invited to see the casting production facilities firsthand, the process of making Bogie’s flagship products, and to review the industrial component machining facilities owned by Barata Indonesia.
