PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) again received a visit from PT Pal Indonesia and Naval Group France as part of a strategic collaboration currently under exploration on Wednesday (September 3rd). This second visit focused on a technical assessment of production facilities and in-depth discussions regarding the construction of the Scorpene submarine.

During the visit, the PT Pal Indonesia and Naval Group delegation had the opportunity to evaluate Barata Indonesia’s manufacturing capacity, from production lines, technology implementation, to the quality standards applied. This evaluation is a follow-up to the collaboration previously explored at Indodefense 2025.

In addition to technical aspects, the site visit also highlighted the facilities and implementation of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards in the manufacturing process, particularly several submarine components that will be fabricated at Barata Indonesia.

“This second assessment demonstrates the seriousness of both parties in building a more solid partnership. Naval Group directly inspected the readiness of our facilities and held more specific technical discussions regarding the strategic Scorpene submarine development project,” said Hertyoso Nursasongko, Director of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero).

Barata Indonesia hopes this visit will further strengthen Barata Indonesia’s position as a potential partner in the global defense industry supply chain, particularly in the maritime and shipping sectors.
