PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) received a site visit from the representative of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) of the Republic of Indonesia (7/8). The visit is in order to review the company’s manufacturing facilities, especially the main worskhop-workshop Barata Indonesia located in the headquarters, Gresik.
The visit is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen national manufacturing resilience and encourage industry independence in the face of global challenges. In the tour, the team from KSP namely Nurwahidi, Tenagi Main Expert Deputy II of the President’s Office of Staff, Kartika Estu Linuwih, Young Expert Power of the President’s Office of Staff, Nathanael Zefanya Heindri, Skilled Energy of the President’s Office of Staff, directly review the production process and main facilities owned by Barata Indonesia, from foundry worshkop to facilities owned by the Industrial and Component Division.
As one of the strategic state-owned enterprises in the manufacturing sector, Barata Indonesia demonstrates its readiness and capacity to support domestic needs, including national projects that require high-tech equipment and high-level domestic Components (TKDN) based on the domestic sector. The Presidential Expert of Deputy II Office of Staff of President, Nurwahidi said that this visit aims to ensure the readiness of the local manufacturing industry in sustaining national energy resistance programs.
The government sees the need for alignment with local companies such as Barata Indonesia to compete, grow and become the backbone of the national industry amid global pressure, including the threat of flooding imported products into the domestic market. Barata Indonesia itself meets several important criteria in supporting government programs, including technical capabilities, certification and implementation of TKDN in products and projects.
In this occasion, KSP also encouraged Barata Indonesia to continue to improve collaboration with strategic stakeholders and expand the market, both domestic and export. Through this visit, it is expected that synergy between the government and the national manufacturing industry can be more closely in order to build the nation’s independence in the industrial sector, especially energy. Barata Indonesia is committed to continuously increasing its contribution as a high competitive national manufacturing front guard and supporting continued development.
