IBD EXPO 2017 exhibition is not only used by Barata Indonesia as a promotion event. In those exhibition, Barata Indonesia also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PT Pertamina Gas a subsidiary of PT Pertamina. On September 20, 2017, the MOU was signed at the opening of the exhibition IBD EXPO 2017, at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.

Pertagas is a company specialized in trading, transportation, processing, and other businesses of  natural gas.

Both companies agreed to synergize in the oil and gas industry, where Barata Indonesia will cooperate in the field of gas infrastructure development in the form of pipeline for Pertagas.

The MOU was signed directly by Barata Indonesia President Director,  Silmy Karim. Silmy Karim said this cooperation is a good step for Barata Indonesia to further strengthen its position as a company that has competence in the field of Oil and Gas.

For Barata Indonesia, experience in several oil and gas projects, including pipelines and other projects, is a competency that continues to be developed as one of the sustainability income contributors to the company, “said Silmy Karim

For Barata Indonesia this is not the first time in cooperation with PT Pertagas. Previously, this state-owned company, also cooperated in pipelines projects. In the oil and gas industry, Barata Indonesia has also been known as a company capable of producing spherical tanks, etc.
