On September 20, 2017 PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) signed  MOU with  PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) or INTI. The signing of the MOU conducted at the IBD EXPO 2017 exhibition, at the Jakarta Convention Center, is one form of State Owned Enterprises Synergy.

With PT INTI, both parties agreed to establish synergies between state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to provide Smart Digital Factory solutions for Barata Indonesia who engaged in manufacturing industry.

The MOU signed by the CEO of INTI Darman Mappangara and the President Director of Barata Indonesia Silmy Karim, is the first step of SOE synergy in developing Smart Digital Factory solutions for the domestic manufacturing market.

“Especially in providing solutions for state-owned enterprises who engaged in manufacturing or having production and manufacturing facilities,” said PT INTI (Persero) President Director Darman Mappangara after the signing of the MOU, at Indonesia Business and Development (IBD) Expo 2017 which opened directly by President Joko Widodo, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Wednesday (20/09).

Meanwhile, President Director of Barata Indonesia, Silmy Karim, added that Smart Digital Factory, which is planned to be cooperated within three years, will be a potential synergy because manufacturing companies in Indonesia must be responsive to the advancement of the digital era. “The industry needs a rapid change because technology development is massive, not waiting for the industry’s readiness,” said Silmy.

The division of tasks both includes,

PT INTI (PERSERO)

• Develop a Smart Digital Factory system device, but not limited to production process monitoring systems, data analysis, operation and maintenance systems.
• Producing or supplying Smart Digital Factory electronic devices required by customers.
• Producing or providing sensors, backbone, and data center systems.
• Installation or installation of any device supplied or supplied by INTI.
• Integrate INTI-installed devices with devices supplied BARATA, project owners, or other third parties so that the devices provided by the parties may function and be handed over to the owner of the project.
• Provide technical support to customers.

BARATA INDONESIA

• Carry out marketing and commercialization of Smart Digital Factory.
• Producing or supplying Smart Digital Factory mechanical devices required by the customer.
• Installation or installation of a device supplied or supplied by BARATA.
• Integrate the device installed by BARATA with a device supplied or supplied by INTI, the project owner, or any other third party in order for the devices provided by the parties to function and be handed over to the owner of the project.
• Provide technical support to customers.
